Todays Sunday Chop was a the largest turn out to date. I managed to finish a bunch of Rolling Rocks, the snake heads for Bobs FLH, the ERWN SR tank is finish welded & Paul got back on the BMW. Joel, Chris, Bob, Pat, Paul & myself were todays culprits of neighbor migraine management.
Good Times!

Today BCM reached Fifty Thousand hits & just one month shy of our one year anniversary.
It never ceases to amaze me how this has grown. I just wanted to say thanks for the support.
I am grateful.

Makin The Rounds

Yesterday I loaded up the ERWN SR500 and headed north to Duane Ballards place, went over the seat plans and left the pan with him for foam & covering. Duane also showed me a bunch of really cool bits for the Pink Taco project, the bike is going to be amazing, of course.
Thanks Duane.
From there I headed to the Biltwell & Chop Cult shop where Bill and McGoo showed me a bunch of new Biltwell product and also gave me the run down on the Chop Cult site. Already there's a ton of great features to the site and I'm confident Chop cult will prove to be a great chop enthusiast web tool, exciting stuff. BCM is pumping it up for that reason & I'm pleased to be a part of it.

Duanes Digger

Duane Ballard & Kutty Noteboom are in the process of dueling digger builds. Yesterday I posted a picture of Kutty's progress from around the time of "The Bash" and a few hours later I get the images below from Duane. Something gives me an indication that the paint is going to be spectacular.
Good Stuff, Duane

Don't Break International Law kids.
"Hey there!!!
I just got the hint of a friend that the pictures of my red dmx bike are on your blog. I'm kindly letting you know that there's a copyright on them and that you are illegaly using them on your site! So if you wanna do yourself a favour you should take them down as soon as possible!!
It would be great if you could let me know where you got the pics from."

You get the idea.
A builder from Switzerland concocted this ride.
I'm not sure what I think about it?

A Good Summer Weekend

Saturday morning Pat & I got a bunch of random bike stuff done around the shop. Saturday afternoon close friends Paul, Dina and Isebella invited us over for a Maryland Blue Crab feast. Paul hails from Baltimore and his Mom is kind enough to over night a shipment every now and again. I've had the chance to enjoy a few of these meals of fun now and it always a good time. The girls threw in the paper towel early but Paul and I managed to polish off the bushel & a bunch of Brazilian beers.
Good stuff, & big thanks.
Sunday chop 101 with guest professor, Joel.
Sundays have gotten to be super fun, people come and go, help out, jaw a little, shit gets done and my recycle bin overflows with empties.
Fun house Bob.

Weld table

I've been welding on a giant oak desk that I'm pretty sure came from some vacant receptionist position and it was only a matter of time before it bursts into flames. So with a couple of donated legs from my buddy Tim, some leftover square bar and a big piece of free scrap plate that Pat came up with I welded up a somewhat proper welding table.
Sorry for the BS posts but we're super busy right now, four bikes under construction in my garage & two down at Pat's shop. This bike thing is snowballing out of control and I'm loving it.

A Long Date with the Dremel

I'm finally finishing up these mid controls and after some thought I decided to add a little more support to posts. Since I set precedence with the foot pedals it meant more blending of my crappy welds. Nothing a couple hours with a dremel can't fix, the neighbors love the dremel too.
I really wish I had kept track of the ridiculous amount of time that has gone into these stupid foot controls. Almost ready for plating though & they're just what I envisioned.

Piet Mondrian

My girl is a trainer for MAC Cosmetics and quite often she gets to do some cool things with her craft. Like body painting this honey boy models great american bulges in the style of well known Dutch artist Piet Mondrian. I thought it turned out really cool.
I didn't ask how you get this stuff off.

New Kicks!

I ran out to the welding supply shop & when I got back, I noticed that the Chocolate Santa had been here. Three pair & a grip of much needed socks.

On the short list.

My buddy Steve got me dialed in on Google analytics last week, there's an overwhelming amount of info on you people who check out BCM. One of the cooler things is being able to see the sites where you've either discovered or used a link to get to BCM.
Well someone visited from the Le Container blog & I'm glad they did.
Le Container is packed with good images of architecture, bikes, chics, design, just a lot of my favorite subjects.
If your into that kind of stuff check it out.
